Today was the kids' second game of the season. Sadly, I had to work again today, so enjoy these pics with me that Lance took!
Apparently Lance Jr got a bit more play time than he did last game, and he actually paid more attention this time too! I suppose that does go hand in hand...
Their team won 35-0, leaving them undefeated so far this year! We are reminding them that as fun as it is to win, its not about winning, and to keep that in mind whenever they face a more skilled team or have a bad game. No one likes a sore loser, but being a jerk-of-a-winner isn't cool, either. I don't think Lance really needs that lesson, but some people really do struggle with that.
Lance said that Alex did better too! What exactly that means I'm not sure, but I'm guessing she's loosening up and visibly having more fun out there. I can't wait for next week's game - I don't work! :)
After the game, Lance took the kids out to lunch and then to see Diary Of A Wimpy Kid. They came home very hyper and happy, clearly buzzed from having a blast all day.
I just can't get enough of how involved Lance is able to be these days since we've transferred back stateside - I feel like the Grinch when his heart swells three sizes bigger. Normally I'd be absolutely heartbroken at how much I've been missing in recent months, but I'm so happy to have Lance be such an involved parent while he can - before we know it he'll have to start going out to sea again!
