Shame on me, I'm putting off my blogging and updating kinda late! I've been super busy though, and though I should be doing a billion other things right now, inspiration struck, so here I am!
Lets see - Week 9 was the first week in my last of three total phases. Last week I explained how the final phase works, and so Week 9 I had to redo the workouts from the first phase. I did great! I was so much stronger than the first go around, and I think that boosted my ego way up there and helped me push even harder in my workouts. I can actually do a pull up on my own! Granted, it isn't the most beautiful thing in the world, but I have never, ever in my entire life been able to! Lance could barely do more than one or two total his whole life, but on Monday, he did 10 unassisted pull ups, then 8 more for a different workout. WOW!
Also, Thursday was Day 60, which means we took our pictures and our measurements again. Surprisingly, I didn't lose as many inches as I had hoped considering I am starting to see and feel the differences in my body, but I didn't let that bother me too much. The pictures showed differences I could feel in myself too - my stomach is getting smaller, my face is slimming down more and more, and my waist is getting trimmer. Oh ya, and my boobs. They are deflating! Geez! I honest-to-God cried after taking pictures on our first day because it was so humiliating having my husband take photographic evidence of the parts of my body that I normally try to hide, especially from him. Day 30 pictures I was still really down about taking pictures, though I was motivated seeing the small results. Can I tell you that Lance and I were actually kind of excited about taking our pictures this time? We both have a long way to go, but we are both starting to notice things about ourselves that is different (which is a major deal, I think), and we were eager to compare them to our previous pictures. Lance, by the way, is doing phenomenally! His pictures are light years different from Day 1, and the more body fat he loses, the more you can see the huge muscles he is developing. His back is starting to look muscular, and his arms? *Swoon*
Last week I weighed 145.6 and I have been staying at about the same weight for a few weeks. Monday my body finally decided to catch up with what I have been working towards, and I weighed 141.4, losing 4.2 pounds. On Day 1, I weighed 156, so I'm down 14.6 pounds so far - not too shabby! For my small 5'2 frame, I still have quite a bit of weight to lose, but slow and steady wins the race, right? I'm not going to share too many details of Lance's specific goals since I'm not sure he'd want me to, but I will tell you that after living in hotels for months and both of us having really bad eating and exercise habits for years, we both had a lot of weight to lose. He is already down a little over 30 pounds! We are not crash dieting - just eating healthily for once and making good choices, and busting our arses working out :)
As I said, I have a billion things I need to be doing, including working out! I'm actually behind on a few workouts because of not feeling energetic enough yesterday and just being busy (Lance Jr's party is this Saturday and goodness gracious I've been busting my butt working on it!), so I need to get moving and catch up!
