Kitchen Tip! DIY Seasoning Packets

Tonight for dinner I made one of my favorite dishes, Easy Cheesy Chili Chicken.  The only thing that annoys me about making this (and a handful of other favorites) is that I have to drag out all these different seasonings and measure them out.  If it weren't for that stupid step, this dish would take absolutely no time to throw together.

I've been meaning to do this for years, but for some reason I've never followed through.  While I was preparing dinner, I finally decided to go ahead and measure out a few nights' worth of the seasonings and put them in a Ziploc bag for next time.  Its so silly to even write about this, but after a dozen years of being on my own, I'm only now doing this smart time saver.

I've been a frantic basket-buyer these last few weeks trying to make my house more organized.  A set I bought at Wal-Mart had these cute small ones in them, but I have yet to utilize it - I'm now using it as my seasoning packet holder :)

Like I said, its a silly tip, but hopefully it will help someone out there!  Oh, and try this recipe!! So good!!

Ok so I know I've been all over your blog lately - but do your baggies let out the smell? I'd be more inclined to do little gladware/ziploc cups with the screw tops myself. That is, if I got around to this. =p

Haha, at least I have one person checking in on me! You know more about whats going on than my mother :P I'm not sure about the smell - I just started doing this, and I have the basket with the seasonings tucked away in my spice Lazy Susan, so it smells like seasoning anyways. I should google that…

And, you've reminded me - didn't you say you wanted to start a blog? You should! I know I write about nerdy stuff, but I still really like doing it :)
