Here is the amazing cream cheese spread I was telling you about in my last post. Google, being my BFF and all, led me to this amazing recipe I found on a blog I've never encountered before, but I sure will stalk from here on out! The recipe seemed to fit the bill for what I needed (though I did cut down on the powdered sugar since I wanted this as a spread rather than frosting), and it did not let me down. Homemade cream cheese frosting, by definition, is heavenly, but add a splash or two (or seven...teen), a whole new adjective is needed :) Enjoy!
Kahlua Cream Cheese Spread
5 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
2 1/2 tablespoons Kahlua
16 ounces powdered sugar
Cream together cream cheese and butter until fluffy. Mix in Kahlua, then powdered sugar in one cup increments until frosting reaches desired consistency.
